I am incredibly grateful for Angela’s support during my repeat C-section birth. After my baby was still breech at 37 weeks, I went back and forth between a VBAC and a repeat C-section, and Angela supported me through every attempt to turn my baby (it worked!) and then through the decision that ultimately felt best for me.
After an emergency C-section with my first child, this birth was deeply meaningful. With Angela’s care, it became healing and redemptive. Though she wasn’t in the operating room, she was there when I needed her most by supporting me in pre-op, advocating for me in PACU, and helping us get settled in our mother-baby suite.
Her calm, caring presence made me feel seen, supported, and safe, and I will always be thankful for her role in this birth.

Choosing a planned cesarean carried complex and tender emotions for me, especially after experiencing infant loss. I thought I was prepared for the day, but having Angela present revealed just how much I needed a steady, grounding presence.
Though she joined us specifically for the birth day and postpartum planning, her impact reached far beyond those defined roles. Angela understood that this birth held both joy and grief. As a bereavement doula, she honored the layered reality of welcoming one child into our arms while still loving another in our hearts. There was no need to explain or justify those emotions. She simply made space for them.
On the day of my cesarean, she brought calm, steadiness, and quiet reassurance. She helped me feel oriented and prepared within the clinical, surgical environment, and she supported my partner so that we could both remain present and connected. There was no expectation to feel a certain way and no pressure to be anything other than exactly where we were. Her presence allowed us to experience the day fully and authentically.
Her postpartum planning was equally intentional and compassionate. She anticipated the tender edges of those early days and helped us create room for healing, bonding, and emotional processing. It never felt like a service being provided. Instead we were held in care by someone who deeply understands the sacredness of birth in all its forms.
I am profoundly grateful for her guidance and would wholeheartedly recommend her to anyone preparing for birth, especially those carrying both immense joy and quiet grief.

Angela was an exceptional presence throughout my labor and delivery. From the moment she arrived, the energy in the room shifted and I felt calmer and more grounded. In the weeks leading up to my birth, she thoughtfully supported my partner and I as we created our birth plan and clarified our priorities, which made us feel prepared and aligned going in.
During labor, she communicated clearly with the medical team and gently translated what I needed to know in the moments I could receive it. Angela navigated complex family dynamics with care and held space with deep compassion as I honored my baby and sister who passed. Her steady presence and genuine support made a profound difference in my birth experience, and I am deeply grateful for her.
